R. K. Patel earned my B.E (2000) in Mechanical Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee, India and M.Tech (2002) in Mechanical Engineering with specialization in Production Engineering from Institute of Technology, Banaras Hindu University. During Masters he worked on Finite element model- ing of butt-weld joints under guidance of Prof. N.K.Samria and Dr. S.P.Tiwari. He did his Ph.D. (2008) in Mechanical Engineering with specialization in solid mechanics and design from IIT, Kanpur, India. In his doctoral he worked on the damping behaviour of polymer matrix composites, under the supervision of Dr. Sumit Basu and Dr. Bishakh Bhattacharya.

Rishi was an engineer at Grasim Group of Aditya Birla, from July 2001-June 2003. Then he joined IIT, Kanpur to persue his master degree. He received his M.Tech. in Solid Mechanics and Design from IIT, Kanpur in the year 2005. Presently he is Scientist-C at NPCIL, Mumbai.

Jimmy had received
his Baccalaureat (French Diplom) from Lycee De
Lattre de Tassigny (in La Roche sur Yon, France) with
distinctions. Then he was for 2 years in Preparatory Classes for High
School in Lycee Eugene Livet ( In
Nantes, France). After these two years, he entered in
French Institut for Advanced Mechanics
in Clermont Ferrand, France. During this last year, he went in ProPure
AS company ( Oil company located in Bergen, Norway) for a six-month
internship. And then he came to IIT Kanpur
for an other internship. And at IIT, Kanpur he was
involved in the design upgradation of Bi-axial stress testing mechine.
